One name can cover different rules
A variation changes the game’s comparison rules, wild cards or dealing procedure. Learn classic Teen Patti first, then read each variation’s rules from the actual table. These are teaching patterns rather than confirmed features of a particular APK.
What changes?
| Format | Typical teaching pattern | Confirm before play |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | 3 cards; 6 standard categories | Ace sequence order and ties |
| Muflis / low-hand | A low-hand objective replaces the usual high-hand objective | Exactly how pairs, aces and sequences compare |
| Joker / wild card | A designated card can stand in for another rank or suit | How jokers are selected and how ties work |
| AK47-style | A, K, 4 and 7 may be wild | Which ranks are wild in this particular table |
| Best-of-four-style | A best 3-card hand is chosen from 4 dealt cards | Whether selection is automatic and when it happens |
Why the classic probability chart stops applying
Our 22,100-hand calculation assumes 3 cards, a 52-card deck and zero wild cards. Adding a joker changes how many cards can represent a category. Dealing 4 cards also changes the sample space. Do not reuse classic percentages as variant odds.
A four-question check
- How many cards are dealt?
- Which ranks or cards are wild?
- Is the winning objective high or low?
- What happens when two hands compare equally?
Practice with clear rules
Write the 4 answers before the first deal. If the rule panel leaves one unclear, use classic practice instead of guessing.
